Job Title: Senior .NET API Developer Integration Architect
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior .NET API Developer Integration Architect to design, develop, and manage secure enterprise integration services connecting internal enterprise systems with external vendor platforms. This role focuses on modernizing legacy integrations into scalable cloud native RESTful API services using modern .NET technologies and Azure API Management.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands on development expertise along with architecture, security, and DevOps experience to build reliable, compliant, and high performing enterprise integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
API Architecture and Enterprise Integration
• Design and develop secure, scalable, and highly available RESTful APIs aligned with enterprise architecture standards
• Build enterprise API frameworks to support communication between on premise systems and cloud-based platforms
• Implement API lifecycle management including versioning, governance, documentation, and monitoring
• Architect integration patterns that support high volume transactions, resiliency, and fault tolerance
• Develop and maintain OpenAPI and Swagger documentation
Integration Development and Middleware
• Develop enterprise integration services using C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET 6, 7, and 8
• Build middleware solutions to synchronize data between enterprise systems and cloud applications
• Implement data transformation, mapping, and validation logic for accurate data exchange
• Design synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns for modern integration architectures
• Optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability
Azure API Management and Cloud Integration
• Configure and manage Azure API Management gateways to support enterprise API governance
• Implement API policies including rate limiting, caching, throttling, and security enforcement
• Manage API subscriptions, products, and access policies
• Monitor API performance, usage, and operational metrics
Security and Compliance
• Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and enterprise identity providers
• Integrate APIs with Active Directory and identity management systems
• Ensure compliance with secure coding practices and enterprise cybersecurity standards
• Implement secure communication using token based authentication and encryption
• Maintain audit readiness and compliance with security and governance standards
DevOps and CI CD
• Design and maintain automated CI CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Implement automated build, testing, and deployment workflows
• Maintain environment separation across development, testing, and production
• Manage source code repositories using Git and standard branching strategies
• Integrate automated testing and security scanning into deployment pipelines
Messaging and Event Driven Architecture
• Develop asynchronous messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ
• Design event driven integration models for scalable and loosely coupled systems
• Build resilient services capable of handling high volume message processing
Legacy System Modernization
• Develop integration interfaces connecting modern API services with legacy systems
• Implement data synchronization mechanisms for batch processing environments
• Support modernization initiatives transitioning legacy systems to cloud native architectures
Documentation and Governance
• Create technical design documents detailing architecture and integration patterns
• Maintain API contracts and interface documentation
• Track development activities using enterprise project management tools
• Develop operational runbooks and troubleshooting documentation
Required Skills
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs using .NET technologies
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern .NET frameworks
• Hands on experience with Azure API Management
• Experience building secure integrations between cloud and on premise systems
• Strong understanding of DevOps automation and CI CD pipelines
• Knowledge of API security standards and identity management frameworks
• Experience creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Skills
• Experience working in government or highly regulated enterprise environments
• Knowledge of legacy system integrations or mainframe connectivity
• Experience with event driven architectures and messaging platforms
