Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Architect 100% Remote

Remote Full-time
Title: Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Architect
Location: Remote
Target Start Date: 3/9/2026
Type: Contract
Pay Rate / Salary (Ranges OK): $96

This is a long-standing, enterprise-level organization with a highly mature Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment that has been heavily invested in and continuously enhanced. They operate with strong governance standards and take platform architecture seriously. The team is collaborative, stable, and values technical expertise.

This is not a support role — this is an opportunity to step into an architect-level position where your decisions will directly shape the long-term CRM strategy. The environment is complex, integration-heavy, and high-visibility. If you enjoy stabilizing and optimizing enterprise systems while working alongside strong stakeholders, this is a meaningful engagement with impact.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) Architect to support and evolve a highly customized enterprise CRM platform. This role is responsible for assessing the current Dataverse and application architecture, identifying risks in performance and maintainability, and defining a scalable technical roadmap.

The architect will lead data modeling and security modeling design within Dataverse, optimize plugin execution strategies, and provide hands-on development in C# and Power Platform components. The role requires ownership of integration architecture, including API-based patterns and cloud-based services. The selected candidate will also guide CI/CD and ALM practices to ensure clean deployments and sustainable governance.

This position requires someone who can collaborate effectively with business and technical stakeholders, clearly communicate architectural tradeoffs, and provide forward-thinking solutions while remaining hands-on when needed.
Required Skills
• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM experience
• Strong Dataverse architecture, including data modeling and security modeling
• Experience customizing entities and relationships within Dataverse
• Model-Driven Application development experience
• Deep understanding of the Dynamics execution pipeline (synchronous vs. asynchronous plugins)
• Strong C#/.NET plugin development experience
• Experience designing and supporting integration-heavy CRM environments
• CI/CD and ALM strategy experience (Azure DevOps or similar)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• US Citizen or Green Card
• Must be available to work East Coast business hours

Bonus / Soft Skills
• Experience reducing excessive synchronous plugin dependency
• Azure integration services experience (Functions, Service Bus, Logic Apps)
• API-first and decoupled integration architecture experience
• Power Platform governance experience
• Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise environments
• Calm, solutions-oriented communicator under delivery pressure
• Ability to take direction while proactively offering architectural recommendations
