The Senior Manager, Software Engineering provides technical and people leadership for multiple Scrum-based engineering teams building secure, scalable, and compliant software solutions for financial services platforms. This role drives delivery of full-stack applications and AI/ML-enabled capabilities while ensuring adherence to regulatory, security, and operational excellence standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of full-stack applications using modern front-end, back-end, and cloud-native technologies Guide adoption and integration of AI/ML technologies (e.g., predictive analytics, intelligent automation, personalization, risk modeling) into enterprise platforms Partner with Architecture and Data teams to ensure AI/ML solutions are scalable, explainable, secure, and compliant Establish and enforce engineering best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and reliability Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to embed controls into the SDLC Support audit readiness, model governance, and documentation standards for AI/ML solutions Drive data governance, privacy, and responsible AI practices Build, scale, and lead high-performing full-stack engineering teams, including engineers, data engineers, and ML practitioners Manage and mentor Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and senior engineers Own hiring strategy, onboarding, performance management, and career development Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning Lead multiple Scrum teams and ensure consistent application of Agile/Scrum practices Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to manage backlogs, sprint planning, and delivery commitments Drive predictable, high-quality delivery through metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and defect rates Remove impediments and manage cross-team dependencies Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI/ML solutions, including data pipelines, model development, deployment, and monitoring Translate business and product strategy into engineering roadmaps and execution plans Balance short-term feature delivery with long-term platform scalability and technical debt reduction Manage risks, trade-offs, and dependencies across teams and programs Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 10+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years in people leadership roles Experience building and scaling full-stack engineering teams in enterprise environments Hands-on experience delivering AI/ML-enabled solutions in production systems Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, and distributed systems Proven experience managing Scrum teams and Agile delivery at scale Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and platforms (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow) Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Knowledge of data platforms, analytics, and real-time processing systems Leadership Competencies Strategic mindset with strong execution discipline Ability to influence across Product, Data, Risk, and Compliance organizations Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Commitment to ethical AI, security, and customer trust We are an equal opportunity employer with a commitment to diversity.
