Our team is committed to delivering value through innovative and seamless partnerships.What you’ll doAs the Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, you will be responsible for building, evaluating and managing Airwallex’s key financial partnerships with the goal to deepen Airwallex’s product capabilities in the region, as well as enable Airwallex to launch in new markets.You will support the Financial Partnerships team in scoping, establishing, negotiating, implementing, and operationalising complex partnership engagements.This role will be the bridge between financial partners and internal stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and outcomes for the company.A partnerships expert with experience in the payments industry, preferably having managed partnerships with Financial Institutions including banks, schemes, payment methods, as well as other fintechs in the ecosystem. You have experience working in both big organizations as well as fast-growing startups, and hence have the knowledge and experience in putting in place processes and structure, while remaining flexible and creative in ensuring they are effective and relevant for the business. You are resourceful, action-oriented, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.We’re after someone who can thrive under pressure and enjoys managing multiple stakeholders to drive towards a desired outcome.This role is based in Japan.Responsibilities:Lead, develop, and implement a banking partnerships strategy for Japan that supports our vision for Airwallex’s global collections and payouts networkManage our most strategic partnership opportunities, both existing and new, and act as the main point of contact between Airwallex and our partnersConduct market research to understand the competitive landscape to ensure that Airwallex maintains its position as a payment leaderIdentify and evaluate opportunities to integrate with local banking partners, acquirers, and payment methods as Airwallex expands to new geographiesCoordinate due diligence processes with prospective partners and project manage onboarding with new partnersDevelop yourself as an industry thought leaderWho you areWe're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role.
