Position Overview: Sr. Manager, Data Tools The Sr. Manager, Data Tools position is a critical component of our Pricing and Underwriting activities, focusing on key support functions that ensure the accuracy of our Underwriting models. This role involves the creation and maintenance of side and mini-models within the Underwriting Ecosystem, leveraging data-driven insights and market dynamics to validate assumptions. The successful candidate will partner with business resources to refine product offerings and strategies, foster strong links with the PBM finance team, and support complex financial discussions. This position requires a unique blend of analytical expertise, business acumen, and collaboration skills to drive innovation and improvement in our processes. Key Responsibilities: Understand, assess, and implement underwriting assumptions and artifacts, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our Underwriting models. Leverage market-leading tools to organize and maintain assumptions and artifacts, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our CFAP organization. Communicate complex financial information to business partners, providing insights that inform strategic decisions. Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, refine, and evaluate new product offerings and strategies, impacting the Underwriting process and driving business growth. Foster strong relationships with the PBM finance team, supporting forecasting, client profitability efforts, and financial governance of underwriting activities. Prioritize tasks effectively to meet internal and external customer needs, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Support the translation of product strategy into measurable analytics, participating in peer reviews of complex data requests to ensure that modeled data and related analytic deliverables meet business requirements. Assist in ad-hoc analysis, providing data-driven insights that address business questions and challenges. Essential Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in Pricing, Underwriting, Data Analytics, or Financial Analysis within the Healthcare industry. Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, such as Finance, Mathematics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven ability to work successfully in a cross-matrix environment, adapting to dynamic and changing circumstances. Strong understanding of internal and external assumptions, with the ability to develop and leverage comprehensive knowledge of enterprise assets. Excellent customer satisfaction skills, with a focus on maintaining high levels of satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Financial and analytical expertise, with the ability to make informed recommendations and decisions. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in PBM Pricing, Underwriting, Data Analytics, or Financial Analysis, with a strong understanding of health plans, employer clients, or coalitions/TPAs. Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of relational databases and warehouses. Experience with internal and external facing pricing and analytics teams, with the ability to innovate and develop new products or solutions. Demonstrated success in developing effective relationships with key internal partners across the enterprise. Advanced SQL, VBA, OLAP, and SAS skills, with experience managing complex projects in a matrix environment. Ability to summarize complex financial analysis and support recommendations in presentations to Executive Leadership. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits The typical pay range for this role is $67,900.00 - $199,144.80, depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program, in addition to the base pay range. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, holidays, and sick leave, consistent with relevant state law and Company policies.
