About the position

The Senior Mainframe Developer at U.S. Bank is responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining applications on Mainframe hardware platforms. This role requires writing production-ready and testable code, creating design and unit test plans, and collaborating with database administrators to deploy necessary database components. The position also involves conducting review meetings for code and deliverables assigned to team members and offshore teams.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain applications using Mainframe hardware platforms.

• Write production-ready and testable code using Mainframe competencies.

• Create design, unit test plan, and unit test reports adhering to architectural best practices.

• Work with database administrators to deploy required database components.
,
• Conduct review meetings for code and deliverables assigned to team members and offshore team.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
,
• 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Computer Systems Engineer/Architect or in a related occupation.
,
• 3 years of experience with CA7, COBOL, DB2, Endeavor, ESP scheduler, FILEAID, IBM debugger, JCL, Mainframe technology, MVS, QMF, QMF for windows, SPUFI, SQL, VSAM, XPEDITOR.
