Senior Life Sciences Attorney
Gearhart Law, a premier intellectual property law firm, is seeking a highly qualified Senior Patent Attorney to join our team. We specialize in helping innovators and businesses protect their ideas, and we are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial attorney with a background in life sciences and a proven track record in client acquisition and retention.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have a passion for intellectual property law, experience in life sciences, and a track record of business development. You will play a critical role in expanding our practice, fostering client relationships, and delivering top-tier legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert legal counsel on patent prosecution, strategy, and enforcement in the life sciences sector.
• Manage and grow your current portfolio of clients of portable business.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of attorneys, paralegals, and technical specialists to deliver outstanding results.
• Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to business development initiatives.
Qualifications
• Admission to the U.S. Patent Bar is required, as well as at least one State Bar in Good Standing.
• A bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline is essential; a graduate degree in a life sciences field is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in patent law, with a focus on life sciences.
• Demonstrated success in managing a client portfolio with your portable business. Demonstrated ability to originate business is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an attention to detail.

Compensation
Gearhart Law offers competitive salary ($180,000 per annum plus) depending on portable business and experience, in addition to fully paid medical insurance for the employee, 401k matching, disability and life insurance.
