What’s in Store We are seeking an experienced Senior Liability Adjuster – Medical Professional to handle a diverse range of nursing home E&O, medical malpractice, and other professional liability claims. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating coverage, liability, and damages, as well as managing all aspects of the claims process. This includes negotiating settlements, maintaining a claims portfolio, establishing and monitoring reserves, and ensuring timely payments. You will also prepare comprehensive reports and effectively communicate with your manager, internal teams, and external customers. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills who can navigate complex claims with efficiency and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Negotiate and settle nursing home, medical malpractice and other professional liability claims Prepare written status and reports for clients Ability to interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage. Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities to maintain various responsibilities under critical deadlines Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims Provide monetary authority and strategy to counsel to ensure client’s money and claims are protected Knowledge of current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices and issues within the territory of operation The ability to determine, evaluate, investigate and resolve claims Demonstrate sound analytical skills Other duties as assigned This role is a full-time remote position. Skills, knowledge & expertise 5-7 years of experience handling various (E&O) and medical malpractice claims Adjuster’s License Required. NY License (preferred) or willingness to obtain additional license.
