Target's Plan Group is seeking a Senior Kitchen Tabletop Designer to lead brand vision and drive product development for their owned brands, Room Basics and Edge. As a Sr Kitchen Creator, Tabletop, you'll be responsible for designing and developing innovative products that meet Target's brand values and customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead brand vision across Target's owned brands, Room Basics and Edge, for dinnerware, drinkware, tableware, serveware, barware, and kitchen counter products. Drive and lead product research and design, staying ahead of industry trends and customer preferences. Develop and execute product design strategies that meet business objectives and customer needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, obtaining partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and alignment. Coach and mentor Partner Designers and Creators, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Drive ideas, select materials, colors, and prints, and develop product lines that meet Target's brand values and customer expectations. Work closely with product designs and obtaining partners to identify, analyze, and resolve product issues. Lead new initiatives for sustainability and drive category growth. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A four-year degree in Design, Fine Art, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 4+ years of experience in kitchen tabletop design, with a strong understanding of product trends, raw materials, and production processes. Advanced skills in computer-aided design (CAD) representation or 2D/3D software, including Artist and Photoshop. Business acumen, market knowledge, and the ability to analyze and apply market/trend data. Experience in product development processes and a proven track record of delivering innovative, creative, and cost-effective design solutions. The ability to work independently with minimal oversight and build strong relationships with internal and external teams. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities. A strong understanding of sustainability principles and practices in product design and development. Experience with project management tools and software. A proven track record of driving category growth and innovation.
