As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex software systems, leveraging AI and ML to streamline operations and drive business success. Key Responsibilities Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems that meet customer needs and drive business growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and drive technical solutions. Lead design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization. Develop and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective. Utilize developer tooling and Azure tools and services across the software development life cycle to perform advanced-level Java application design, implementation, and maintenance activities. Mentor junior engineers and share best practices to improve processes within and across teams. Participate in continuous delivery and infrastructure as code, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of software systems. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: Advanced programming experience with at least two modern languages, such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design. Proficiency with AI/ML stack and libraries, with experience in shipping applied AI products. Proven understanding of micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs. Experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems, with a strong understanding of DevOps concepts and cloud architecture. Strong problem-solving ability and ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded: 4+ years of software development experience within a Java framework (J2EE, web containers, and Java). 3+ years of applied AI/ML experience, with a strong track record of delivering innovative solutions. 3+ years of experience with architecture and design, with a proven ability to lead technical teams. 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service, with a strong understanding of cloud-based systems. 2+ years of experience with open-source frameworks, with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies. What We Offer At Workwarp, we offer a competitive salary range of $72,000 to $204,500 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
