Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and Spring. • Collaborate with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. • Implement and maintain microservices architectures that are scalable, reliable, and efficient. • Optimize application performance, focusing on speed and scalability. • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following standard processes for software development. • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring the stability and reliability of the backend systems. • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems. Requirements • 8-12 years of experience in Java 17 - 21 programming & Spring Framework. • Experience with RESTful services, Oracle databases, and microservices architecture. • Strong hands on experience in developing SQL, Store Procedures. • Strong understanding of version control systems like Git, Maven. • Experience with unit testing and test-driven development. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good understanding of Shell scripting. • Have prior experience of working in Actimize (Financial Crime), preferably SAM (Suspicious Activity Monitoring) area.
