Job Title:Senior Java Developer – GCP & Big Data Location:Remote Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in Spring Boot, bolthires Cloud Platform (GCP), and Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend systems and data pipelines that support high-performance applications and analytics. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.• Build and maintain data processing pipelines using Apache Spark and BigQuery. • Integrate backend services with GCP components such as Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery. • Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems. • Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and monitor services in GCP environments. • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define and implement efficient data workflows. • Ensure best practices for code quality, security, and testing are followed.Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot. • Hands-on experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, etc.). • Proficiency with Apache Spark and Big Data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Kafka). • Strong understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture. • Experience with bolthires/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in an agile environment. Preferred Qualifications • GCP Certification (e.g.,Professional Data Engineer orProfessional Cloud Developer). • Experience in data-driven applications, machine learning pipelines, or real-time analytics. • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Firestore, Cassandra, MongoDB).
