Senior IT Business Analyst

Locations/type of contract: Lithuania (employment contract, hybrid/remote) OR Poland/other EU country ( B2B contract directly with Softeq , fully remote) Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with stakeholders Translate high-level goals into user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria Maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog in collaboration with product managers Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Support QA teams with test case validation and UAT coordination Help define and track key metrics and KPIs for product success Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst in a software development environment Proven ability to translate complex business needs into structured requirements Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) Experience working closely with developers, designers, and product managers Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, Notion, etc. Familiarity with API documentation, data flows, UML diagrams, and BPMN Very good English language written and verbal communication skills (min. B2 level) Nice to have Experience in domains such as FinTech, SaaS, AI/ML, or IoT Technical background or understanding of software architecture is a plus Experience with SQL or data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Product ownership or pre-sales support experience
