Growing together.Primary Responsibilities:Create and maintain a detailed view of the current and target architecture; produce Solution Architecture Documents (SAD) with high-level and detailed diagramsAlign ServiceNow platform capabilities to business strategy, vendor roadmap, and internal roadmaps; lead technology evaluations and proofs of conceptProvide leadership in implementing new solutions on the ServiceNow platform; contribute to intake governance and architectural guardrailsLead platform maintenance, stability, troubleshooting, upgrades, and clone-down activities; ensure code migration discipline and service availabilityEstablish monitoring, alerting, incident/problem/change management practices; drive root-cause analysis and post-incident reviewsServe as a technical lead for operational engagements (vendor network upgrades, platform analysis, capacity, and performance management)Mentor engineers; participate in recruiting, onboarding, and peer reviews to raise platform and engineering qualityCollaborate with capability owners and platform customers to translate business challenges into actionable design and operational outcomesContinuously stay current with ServiceNow releases and integrated technologies; educate team members and stakeholders on new capabilitiesOversee the customization and configuration of ServiceNow modules, ensuring best practices and scalabilityIdentify opportunities to optimize ServiceNow environments for performance, usability, and cost-efficiency, including reviewing data models, integrations, and workflowsComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience3+ years designing application or platform architectures, producing SADs and technical diagramsExperience in ServiceNow platform engineering and/or architecture with demonstrable solution deliveryPractical experience with Web Services, AJAX, JavaScript/Business Rules, SOAP/REST integrations, and SSO/SAMLExperience with ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Request, Change), CMDB and operational runbooksProven excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills; experience working with global teamsPreferred Qualification:ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS-ITSM, Architect/Implementation Specialist in various modules) At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
