About the Role We're seeking an experienced Senior Insights Leader to join our Essential Knowledge team as a Knowledge Lead. As a Knowledge Lead, you'll be responsible for driving strategic insight project work for our Chief Authority Group and Directorate. You'll be the go-to expert for competitive intelligence, analyzing complex data sets, and crafting compelling stories that inform Target's short and long-term goals. Key Responsibilities Develop learning plans and schedules to deliver proactive insights and intelligence on core competitors to support Target's strategic direction Act as a subject matter expert for the team in distilling meaningful competitive intelligence from financial performance and investment strategies Own and maintain a complex and extensive toolkit of qualitative and quantitative data sets, translating them into actionable strategies and narratives Develop dashboards and metrics to maintain ongoing monitoring of competitor dynamics and identify forward-looking implications Build trusted relationships and task manage the coordination and collaboration with partners across the Enterprise to maximize the impact of work Create synthesized, compelling, and meaningful presentations for senior leaders to inform their decision-making Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A 4-year professional degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (advanced degree strongly preferred) At least 5 years of work experience in investment industry, finance, corporate development, or a comparable field Strategic planning experience with demonstrated analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills grounded in quantitative analysis Proven ability to lead strategic project work while managing working group, partner, and executive relationships Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell compelling business and outcome stories with data A natural curiosity and desire to learn with a strong drive for results in uncertain spaces Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Related knowledge or a strong understanding of the retail or CPG industry Experience working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment A proven track record of driving strategic growth through competitive intelligence and data analysis Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories that drive business outcomes A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams A strategic thinker, with the ability to stay ahead of the curve and anticipate future trends and implications A strong drive for results, with a passion for delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Target, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop in their careers.
