Senior Government Contracts Consultant | Full Lifecycle Federal & State Procurement - Contract to Hire

We are seeking a senior-level Government Contracts Consultant with hands-on, end-to-end ownership of U.S. government contracts — from opportunity identification and go/no-go decisions through proposal submission and execution planning. This role is for experienced operators who have worked on meaningful contract sizes, understand real execution constraints, and can advise on what to pursue, how to structure the bid, and how it will actually be fulfilled. This is not a proposal-template or compliance-only role. ⸻ What “Senior” Means for This Role To be successful here, you should have personally: • Identified and qualified opportunities on SAM.gov, state portals, or agency systems • Led or heavily influenced go/no-go decisions • Scoped requirements and translated them into an execution-ready plan • Identified and coordinated U.S.-based manufacturers, suppliers, or subcontractors • Owned or co-owned: • Capture strategy • Proposal development and compliance • Pricing and cost strategy • Supported bids across federal, state, or local agencies If your experience is limited to writing sections of proposals without exposure to capture, pricing, or fulfillment, this role is likely not a fit. ⸻ Industries / Domains (One or More Preferred) We are open to any niche, primarily looking for depth in one or two fields is preferred over shallow experience across many. ⸻ Supplier & Subcontractor Network Strong candidates typically have: • Existing relationships with U.S.-based manufacturers, distributors, or subcontractors • Experience forming prime/sub or teaming arrangements • Practical knowledge of how vendor availability and lead times affect bid viability ⸻ Engagement & Budget Transparency This role is structured as a senior consulting engagement.
