About the Role: Supporting Student Success from Application to Graduation

As a Senior Global Student Program Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for our students, providing personalized support and mentorship throughout their academic journey. Your expertise and passion for student success will be instrumental in driving our mission to accelerate college student success and provide a high-level, intentional holistic student experience.

Key Responsibilities: Guiding Students through the Application Process and Beyond


Serve as the liaison and coordinator to educate NMSU Global Campus graduate students about admission policies and procedures, arranging for campus tours and interviews as needed.
Guide prospective students through the admissions process, maintaining application files, contacting students for additional information, and communicating the status of their application.
Maintain accurate records using ERP systems, including Banner, BDMS, SLATE, and ProQuest, ensuring timely and efficient data management.
Coordinate activities from application to graduation for assigned departments, including Admissions Processing, Registration, Verify Program of Study, Verify final exam information, Thesis and Dissertation Submission, and Certification of degree and certificates.
Prepare admissions reports regularly, including data on inquiries, applications, and admitted students, in collaboration with administration.
Develop and implement strategies to support student recruitment and retention, leveraging knowledge of targeted recruitment principles, procedures, and resources.
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to student inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Supervise personnel, including recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.


Essential Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, counseling, or a related discipline.
A minimum of three years of experience related to student recruitment, retention, and support services, preferably in an online or adult education setting.
Knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues, including targeted recruitment principles, procedures, and resources.
Excellent data management and records maintenance skills, with experience using ERP systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with students, faculty, and staff.
Ability to analyze and solve problems, plan community outreach projects, and coordinate and organize meetings and special events.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience and Skills that Enhance Your Application

Experience advising online and adult learners, with knowledge of student recruitment and retention issues related to these populations.
Skill in developing and implementing new strategies and procedures focused on online and adult learner success.
