LA County Library, Facilities Services, Maintenance Section is seeking a highly qualified, self-motivated individual for the position of Senior General Maintenance Worker.
LA County Library, Facilities Services, Maintenance Section is seeking a highly qualified, self-motivated individual for the position of Senior General Maintenance Worker.
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for maintenance inspections, general cleaning and repairs, safety inspections, and vehicle maintenance.
Responsible for performing building inspections following disasters or upon request.
Assists with library refurbishments and facility closures and openings.
Assists with special projects and library refresh initiatives.
Participates in after-hours standby rotations, as required.
Supports maintenance supervisor with equipment management and contracted work solicitations.
Conducts deliveries and pickups of furniture and other library materials.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience operating large stake-bed trucks with hydraulic tailgates.
Thorough knowledge of warehouse safety and cargo handling procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Capable of working independently and collaborating effectively as part of a team.We will only accept applications filed online.
