Hello, we are AMBOSS and we are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer in our Software Platform team.About AMBOSSAMBOSS is a learning and clinical decision support tool striving to empower physicians across the globe to provide the best possible care. Since then, we have grown to currently operate in 180 countries and have gained immense traction in Germany and the US. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining essential infrastructure, ensuring seamless identity management, fraud prevention, and CI/CD migrations while enhancing developer experience across the company.This role is perfect for an engineer who:Thrives on technical challenges – You will work with modern technologies, including Golang, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating closely with product teams to enhance platform reliability and security.Enjoys variety – From API gateway performance optimization to security tooling, your work will span multiple domains, ensuring a dynamic and engaging workload.Values ownership and impact – As part of a small, highly skilled team, you will have direct ownership of critical systems and the opportunity to make a tangible difference in AMBOSS's technical ecosystem.Wants to grow – If you're eager to expand your knowledge, particularly in Golang and infrastructure topics, this role provides the support and projects to deepen your expertise.You will:Write clean, maintainable, and testable codeContribute to core backend (Go, PHP) and frontend applications (JS/TS/React), such as GraphQL Gateway and Amboss’ web client.Participate, facilitate and make architectural decisions related to the performance and security of AMBOSSOwn and operate core system services, such as the identity account management, user tracking, GraphQL Gateway, etc.Provide platform and drive enablement in product teams by addressing developer experience needs and supporting teams with platform knowledge and self-serviceBe a force multiplier by mentoring others and actively contributing to a culture of learning and engineering excellenceYou bring: Clear communication skillsStrong experience building production systems with GoSolid understanding of modern frontend ecosystem and ReactExperience with Python and PHP (nice-to-have)Knowledge of Kubernetes & familiarity with modern CI/CD toolsData Analysis & SQL (Big Plus)You understand the data stack or is ready to rapidly learn itAbility to run your own data analysis to understand the current state and estimate the impact of changesYou enjoy:You’re eager to expand your skill set—whether that’s picking up a new language (Go) or embracing new technologies in CI/CDYou value open communication and knowledge-sharing.Strong ownership & driving impact: You proactively look for ways to improve systems, processes, and securityYou enjoy being responsible for high-impact projects that affect the entire companyBenefits:AMBOSSians tell us that innovative work keeps them energized and employee benefits help them to feel appreciated and empowered.
