Reporting to our Head of Finance, you’ll play a critical role in building the foundation of financial operations as we scale our business.This is a rare opportunity to build the accounting function from the ground up at a leading Ai startup. You’ll have high ownership from day one — establishing reporting infrastructure, shaping accounting policy, and managing external audit readiness — all within a business that is well-capitalized and backed by an experienced leadership team with a proven track record.What you will doAccounting & Financial reporting:Own and execute day-to-day accounting operationsManage and maintain robust loan accounting systems, including credit loss models (IFRS 9)Lead the month-end close process and prepare IFRS-compliant financial statementsDraft and maintain technical accounting memos and policy documentationAudit & ComplianceBuild and manage compliance reporting for lending businessDesign and implement internal controls and reporting tools that minimize manual processesLead the company’s external audit, including audit prep and coordinationStrategic FinancePartner with the Credit Team to align underwriting, servicing, and accounting data modelsDevelop and manage key financial metrics and reporting for internal and external stakeholdersContribute to the buildout of FP&A infrastructure, financial models, and investor reporting processesQualifications3–4 years of Big 4 audit experience, with a focus on Financial Services (lending, credit, or structured finance)CPA designationStrong working knowledge of IFRS 15 and IFRS 9Direct experience with loan accounting, credit loss modeling, and financial reporting for a lending businessNice to HavesExperience building or testing Internal ControlsExposure to FP&A, financial modeling, or investor reportingFamiliarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Google Studio)Ready to join us?We’re on a mission to make the world a fairer place, one student at a time.
