Our client is a leading luxury fragrance brand looking for a new Senior Financial Analyst/Accountant, to join their growing team, with expert financial analysis skills who is comfortable working for a fast-paced, PE-backed company. This is a new role and will play a key role in analyzing and optimizing our financial performance while supporting the company's strategic goals.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst with strong accounting experience to support our finance department. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that drive decision-making and financial planning. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Finance Manager and Assistant Controller to execute accounting needs for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
? Analyze and interpret financial data, including revenue, costs, and profit margins, to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
? Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with accounting standards.
? Prepare detailed financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to guide business planning and performance tracking.
? Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
? Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
? Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate performance and support business strategies.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
? Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management, highlighting key business trends, financial risks, and opportunities.
? Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus).
? 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or accounting, preferably within a consumer goods or luxury brand environment.
? Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
? Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling is required.
? Familiarity with Power Bi or Tableau preferred.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
? Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
? Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
