Senior Financial Accountant, Commercial Finance

This is a remote position. We are seeking a Senior Accountant/Analyst to join our growing team at our Client’s place, reporting to the Director, Commercial Finance. This role will support the Commercial Finance organization in enhancing its revenue accounting, forecasting, and promotional support activities. The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced global environment. We are looking for someone who is flexible and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically to changes. Cross-functional communication skills and experience are essential. • Provide accounting, forecasting, and financial support for revenue and contra-revenue. • Ensure accounting for revenue and promotions is conducted in accordance with US GAAP. • Provide review and support for promotional program trade payments. • Provide oversight of operational expenditure accounting. • Drive overall system/process improvements. • Work cross functionally with the Commercial Leadership Team to provide input on promotional programs organization, communication, and management. • Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, and effectively present information to managers, peers, and customers. • Effective collaboration with Commercial Finance team members. Required Skills • Minimum of 3 years of increasing responsibility within Accounting roles. Preferably with a revenue focus. • Experience in Accounts Receivable. • Consumer Products industry experience is a plus. • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting, excellent technical accounting skills a must. Experience with contra-revenue accounting and temporary price reduction programs is a plus. • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office and Google’s G Suite knowledge. • Experience with varying ERP systems. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on demonstrated results in influencing leadership. • Self-motivated, team player, with a strong desire to learn new skills and grow. • Willingness to work and collaborate with peers and team members in different time zones. • Ability to multi-task or focus on detailed problems, and tenacity to drive issues until resolved. Years of Experience: minimum 6+ years of direct relevant experience Additional Info: 100% Remote Minimum of 3 years of experience. • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Master’s degree and/or CPA is a plus.
