Senior Finance Manager Government Accounting
Job Description Summary
The Senior Government Accounting Manager is a key member of the Corporate team within GE Aerospace Corporate. This position is the subject matter expert responsible for Corporate government submissions, including Forward Pricing and Incurred Cost. In addition, this Senior Manager will assist with Home Office Disclosure Statement as well as internal special projects as needed. The role is also responsible for providing leadership in the area of maintaining compliance with the Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Senior Government Accounting Manager is also responsible for maintaining critical relationships with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) personnel. The role will have frequent contact with GE Aerospace Controllership, Technology & Operations, Digital Technology, and business stakeholders. Finally, the Senior Government Accounting Manager will ensure harmonization with the wider Government Accounting team to achieve team and business compliance objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities
ā¢ The Senior Government Accounting Manager will play a critical role to ensure GE Aerospace is compliant with the FAR/CAS and internal policies and procedures:
ā¢ Establish and refine GE Aerospace CHO strategy for cost recovery and disclosed accounting practices to ensure compliance and optimize processes and outcome.
ā¢ Support, coordinate, and negotiate Corporate Home Office Forward Pricing, Incurred Cost Submissions and related audits
ā¢ Maintain and update Disclosure Statements and support related audits.
ā¢ Assess highly technical CAS compliance scenarios including alleged nonācompliances. Assist the business in assessing impacts and identifying resolution strategies.
ā¢ Enhance business processes and ensure they are compliant with the CAS and support the requirements in the FAR, Department of Defense supplement (DFARS), and other applicable acquisition regulations and guidance.
ā¢ Work collaboratively with external government audit partners and internal representatives to support government and internal audits.
ā¢ Personally lead or support lean transformation efforts to eliminate waste, improve transparency, establish standard work, and enhance the value the team brings to the business.
ā¢ Thrive in a culture of continuous learning with team members to deepen domain expertise, enhance overall business acumen, and prepare for additional responsibility.

Required Qualifications
ā¢ Masterās degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field)
ā¢ Significant related experience at a major defense contractor, DCMA, or DCAA
Desired Characteristics
ā¢ Deep domain expertise in Government Accounting with significant practical experience with Cost Accounting Standards, CASB Disclosure Statement, Forward Pricing, and Incurred Cost at a CAS 403 Corporate Home Office
ā¢ Significant experience interacting with senior DCMA (ACO, DACO, CACO) and DCAA (supervisory auditor, Branch Manager, Regional Audit Manager) staff.
ā¢ Strong cost accounting background related to US Government contracting.
ā¢ Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to tailor communications to the needs of the audience.
ā¢ Ability to apply lean principles in a transactional setting with an emphasis on root cause analysis, countermeasure development, and sustained change control.
ā¢ Demonstrated ability to lead projects / programs. Strategic thinker; ability to document, plan and execute projects. Established project management skills.
ā¢ Able to balance strategic planning and initiatives required to enable continuous process improvement with the need to execute on tactical priorities in a resource constrained environment.
ā¢ Comfortable working in an environment of ambiguity and changing priorities driven by customer requirements and external forces.
The base pay range for this position is $137,000.00 ā 183,000.00 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidateās experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 4/6/26.
