Role Overview

The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for providing professional recommendations and guidance that help steer business selections across our EMEA markets. This role is charged with delivering an efficient, timely, and accurate Annual Operating Plan (AOP), forecasts, Five-Year Plan (FYP), and close process. You will focus on advertising, product development, and innovation spend while delivering crucial analysis and reporting to support our franchise strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis


Lead the overall advertising EMEA FP&A system and calendar – taking ownership of planning and tracking advertising spend by market, spend type, franchise, and store
Control the delivery of the Zone Near Method, including timely and accurate reporting of near function to all relevant stakeholders
Manage all key quarterly, annual, and long-term forecast deliverables ensuring accuracy and adherence to strict deadlines
Develop new marketing tracker and reporting techniques to redefine and enhance existing finance processes
Provide ad hoc support to the Senior Finance Manager and Finance Director as required across various business areas outside of advertising


Commercial Analysis


Analyze the effectiveness of spend for key advertising campaigns, including postmortems and performance insights
Guide the various marketing teams with financial queries, methods, and spend appraisals
Control and supply other ad hoc initiatives and requests within the scope of the role
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand financial implications of strategic decisions
Support franchise strategies through detailed financial modeling and scenario analysis


Stakeholder Management


Build strong relationships with marketing teams, brand managers, and senior leadership across EMEA
Act as a trusted financial advisor to business partners, providing insightful and timely guidance
Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
Facilitate win-win situations by balancing competing priorities and stakeholder needs


Essential Qualifications


Fully Qualified Accountant – CIMA, ACCA, or ACA certification is essential
Proven FP&A Experience – Demonstrable experience in both FP&A and financial reporting functions
Marketing Finance Background – Experience supporting a marketing function is highly desirable
Industry Experience – Experience in retail, licensing, and/or major media enterprise is preferred
Commercial Acumen – Experience of commercial management to a high standard, working with regional finance and commercial headquarters

Financial Modeling – Proficiency in building complex financial models and forecasts
Systems Knowledge – Experience with finance planning systems and reporting tools
