Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Enterprise Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence platform. This is a senior-level position that offers the unique opportunity to have a profound impact on the entire organization, driving the data-driven culture that will shape arenaflex's future.

As a key member of our Data and Analytics team, you will work with massive volumes of data and be responsible for transforming it into meaningful, actionable insights. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT resources, and executive leadership, to deliver robust data solutions that meet evolving business needs.

Key Responsibilities


Data Warehouse Architecture: Design, develop, maintain, and support our Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI platform using various data and BI tools, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Create efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow to streamline data integration from multiple sources into our data warehouse.

Business Intelligence Reporting: Build ad-hoc reports and automated dashboards using Tableau to support data-savvy users and provide self-service analytics capabilities for C-level executives.

Database Design: Design and implement DataMarts, data warehouses, and database objects within relational databases including MySQL, SQL Server, and Vertica.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster collaborative relationships with key business sponsors and IT resources to gather requirements and efficiently resolve data-related inquiries.

Technical Communication: Deliver technical and business topics in a comprehensive 360-degree manner, utilizing written, verbal, and presentation materials as appropriate.

Quality Assurance: Develop, maintain, and recommend improvements to applications in the areas of standards, procedures, compliance, and quality assurance practices; participate in design and code walkthroughs.

Release Management: Take ownership of the release process, ensuring smooth deployments and minimal disruption to production systems.

Continuous Learning: Stay current with relevant technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices to continuously improve our data infrastructure.

Prioritization: Prioritize work based on highest business impact, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Qualifications


Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is required.

Technical Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience creating data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow is required.

Database Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing DataMarts, Data Warehouses, and database objects within relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Vertica is required.

SQL Proficiency: Strong capability in SQL and query writing is required, with the ability to optimize complex queries for performance.

Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

BI Tools Experience: Solid experience creating executive-level dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar BI platforms.


Preferred Qualifications


Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.

Knowledge of big data technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.

Experience with data modeling methodologies such as Kimball or Inmon.

Understanding of data governance and data quality best practices.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.

Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Tableau, AWS, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
