Job Description:

The U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineering Manager with experience in Big Data, GCP Cloud, Java, and Spark applications. As a key member of our Marketing Technology team, you will lead Segmentation, Targeting and Eligibility scrum teams, design, implement, and optimize data solutions to support our data-driven initiatives. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for driving the technology roadmap with emphasis on technical KPIs. As a people leader, you will aspire to create an inclusive environment, enabling colleagues in creating successful careers with emphasis to learning and having fun at the same time. You will foster technical ownership and enable engineers to think beyond to nurture innovation and to maximize their professional potential. Your ability to build relationships across the company and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in shaping the overall product and technical strategy is critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and work with a team of highly talented engineers to build and deliver product and technology roadmap.
• Work closely with product owners to understand product and customer needs and enable the product vision for Segmentation, Targeting and Eligibility teams
• Collaborate within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and execute the development schedule for major product releases.
• Coach and develop talent, promoting a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous team improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics.
• Whiteboard and socialize changes and system designs in collaboration with architects, tech leads and team members
• Manage co-located and remote engineering teams.
• Manage Tech OKRs and strive to continuously improve the metrics month over month.
• Recruit and hire best-in-class and diverse talent from the industry.
• Influence up/down/across and evangelize modern data engineering principles.
• Think outside the box and bring external engineering expertise/perspective.
• Engage in 1-on-1 conversations with team members to provide mentorship and career development planning.
• Define best practices and drive reengineering opportunities.
• Participate in peer code reviews and technical discussions.
• Drive innovation within a fast-paced agile environment

Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data, Java (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Scala, Python, Java, Sprint boot, GCP Cloud).
• Experience being a people leader, coaching, mentoring, and guiding for highly talented technical teams
• Proven experience hiring, retaining, and leading high-caliber engineering talent.
• Experience managing software engineering teams designing and building software products in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic software development environment.
• Experience with data pipelines, Airflow, Kafka, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with Agile & Scrum methodologies.
• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification is a plus

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
