You'll report to the previous manager, who is taking on CloudOPS scope. This is a great opportunity to step into an established role, supporting an group of 8 experienced engineers, who are based in Paris, Barcelona, and remotely in France.What you'll be doing :Lead, mentor, and empower a highly skilled cloud infrastructure team of 8 engineers, fostering a culture of trust, autonomy, and continuous improvementCollaborate closely with your colleagues in our CloudOps Group, including SRE and Engineering Productivity teams, partnering actively with Staff Engineers and stakeholders across Back Market to build relevant, adopted infrastructure servicesHandle operational responsibilities gracefully: coordinating incidents, maintaining calm, and managing an effective and robust on-call rotationTreat infrastructure as a product, developing clear metrics-driven approaches to measuring service usage and satisfaction. Examples of our tailored internal services include:Custom Kubernetes resources for provisioning Buckets, Key-Value stores, databases, and protected public endpoints or secure privilege-escalation tooling to support engineers during on-call incidentsPrioritize and evolve your team’s roadmap iteratively, based on feedback, direct observations, and clear adoption metrics.
