Senior Employment & Class Action Litigation Attorney – Remote (Illinois)

You’ll work from home while collaborating closely with a multi-state team and traveling occasionally for hearings, depositions, mediations, and key firm events. Note: You must be licensed to practice law in Illinois, have strong civil litigation experience (including discovery, motion practice, and depositions), and be comfortable working remotely full-time with occasional travel. As they expand into Illinois, they are building a strong Chicago-focused practice and need seasoned litigators who share their commitment to justice and client advocacy. Job Description • Serve as a Senior Associate Attorney on wage-and-hour, employment, and consumer class and representative actions in Illinois and federal courts • Lead and manage all phases of complex civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation • Draft, edit, and argue substantive motions, including dispositive and class-related motions, in state and federal courts • Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts, and prepare clients and witnesses for testimony • Develop and execute case strategy in collaboration with firm leadership and junior team members • Appear remotely and in person for court hearings, conferences, and other proceedings as needed • Mentor junior attorneys and staff, helping to develop best practices and strengthen the Illinois practice • Travel occasionally for hearings, depositions, mediations, and internal meetings Qualifications • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing • Several years of civil litigation experience, ideally 5+ years, including substantial discovery, motion practice, and taking/defending depositions • Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and/or wage-and-hour or employment matters strongly preferred • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills with a strategic, detail-oriented approach • Proven ability to independently manage complex cases and a busy litigation docket in a remote environment • Professional, steady work history and strong client-facing skills • Positive, team-oriented attitude and an interest in helping grow a high-performing, plaintiff-side practice in Illinois Why You’ll Love Working Here • You’ll have a visible, senior role in building out a new geographic market for a well-established plaintiff-side firm • You’ll collaborate with a collegial group of experienced litigators who value mentorship, high-quality advocacy, and work with purpose • You’ll receive competitive senior-level compensation ($130,000–$250,000+ depending on experience and impact), plus medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and support for ongoing professional development JPC-498 Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • Dental insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Apply tot his job
