Atwell is growing our Power & Energy team and weâre looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Interconnection group. This is a great opportunity to work on utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and other high-voltage power projects across the country.
What Youâll Be Doing
Lead and support interconnection and power system studies for utility-scale renewable and high-voltage projects
Perform PSSE and PSCAD studies, including load flow, dynamic analysis, and renewable model tuning
Support projects across solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and distribution
Partner closely with internal teams across substation physical, P&C, SCADA, civil, structural, transmission, distribution, project management, and construction
Prepare and review technical deliverables including reports, design criteria, specifications, study documentation, scopes of work, and engineering packages
Participate in client meetings, occasional site visits, and field walkdowns
Ensure designs and studies align with applicable codes, standards, and quality expectations
What Weâre Looking For
Bachelorâs Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
Strong experience supporting interconnection studies and power systems analysis
Experience with tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, ASPEN, PowerWorld, ETAP, SKM, CYME, EMTP, or similar
Familiarity with ISO/RTO processes such as ERCOT, MISO, or SPP is a plus
Understanding of applicable standards such as NERC PRC/MOD, IEEE 2800, and IEEE 1547
PE license is a plus, but not required for the right candidate
Pay Range - $100,000 - $180,000 base + bonus + benefits.
