Position Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Senior Director, Customer Marketing & Stewardship to lead our shopper marketing initiatives for Ahold Delhaize USA divisions. This pivotal role serves as the central point of ownership for shopper marketing across Giant Food, Giant/Martins, Stop & Shop, Hannaford, and Food Lion—both for Direct Store Delivery (DSD) and Warehouse operations.
As a key member of our Frontline Marketing organization, you will integrate shopper strategies with brand priorities to strategically plan and build digital programming that supports omni-channel execution, delivering exceptional system performance. You will also lead strategic projects that optimize digital shelf processes internally and across retail partners, while coordinating a unified voice across channels.
What You Will Do for Us
Strategic Leadership & Ownership
Serve as the central point of ownership for Ahold Delhaize Shopper Marketing across five major divisions, ensuring cohesive strategy execution
Integrate shopper strategies from the ADUSA blueprint with arenaflex brand priorities to create unified, high-impact marketing programs
Lead the narrative of how NAOU is building loved brands sustainably within retail channels and key bottler territories
Drive Retail Media planning and execution, partnering with key CPG (consumer packaged goods) collaborators
Project Leadership & Coordination
Serve as Project Leader for strategic initiatives led by the Frontline Marketing (FLM) organization
Optimize digital shelf processes internally and across retail partners to enhance operational efficiency
Coordinate across FLM Shopper Marketing to ensure a unified voice across all channels
Help usher in Retail Media 2.0 in partnership with Connected Commerce
Stewardship & Reporting
Create quarterly stewardship templates used with National Retail Sales teams and key Franchise partners
Tell the holistic narrative of how NAOU is building Loved Brands through comprehensive reporting
Produce summary content and steward team performance and updates for retail, marketing, and franchise performance routines
Translate complex data into compelling stories that drive decision-making
Partnership Development
Build and maintain collaborative partnership programs with key CPG partners
Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Influence without authority to drive alignment across functional teams
Represent arenaflex as a trusted advisor in retail and franchise discussions
Essential Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's degree preferred
Experience: Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in marketing, brand, shopper, and/or commerce
Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and strategy development
Brand Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Brand Management—building and maintaining strong brand health
Category Management: Proven ability to manage product categories for optimal sales performance
Omnichannel Experience: Demonstrated experience in Omnichannel Business Planning and Retail Media Network optimization
Financial Acumen: Strong background in Revenue Growth Management (RGM), P&L management, and financial planning
Leadership Mindset: General management mindset with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
Influence Skills: Exceptional ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority

Proven track record in Retail Media planning, execution, and performance optimization
Experience negotiating with retail media networks and digital platforms
Deep understanding of omni-channel retail strategies and shopper journey mapping
