Senior Developer (Java/Kotlin, AWS Serverless)- Remote

Senior Developer (Java/Kotlin, AWS Serverless) Remote- MST Hours 12 month contract Pay Rate: $70.00 - $80.00per hr. Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to support their Core Content team. This role will focus on augmenting development capacity, delivering scalable solutions, and helping build out AI-enabled infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a strong backend engineer with deep experience in Java, Kotlin, and AWS serverless architectures, and a passion for continuous improvement in high-impact systems. They are looking for someone to start on May 4th. Primary Responsibilities • Partner with the Core Content team to design, develop, and enhance critical content systems and infrastructure • Contribute to the development of AI-enabled infrastructure and services • Deliver iterative improvements, including bug fixes, new features, and system reliability enhancements • Collaborate with Solution Managers to define and execute development priorities • Support and maintain tooling, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines • Ensure high performance and scalability across content delivery systems and CDNs • Participate in team updates, technical discussions, and cross-functional collaboration • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for production systems Required Skills: • 5+ years of professional software development experience • Advanced proficiency in Java and Kotlin • Strong experience with AWS serverless technologies (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.) • Experience working with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) and distributed systems • Proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable backend services • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and DevOps practices • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an iterative, agile environment Bonus Skills: • Experience building or supporting AI/ML-enabled systems or infrastructure • Familiarity with content platforms or media delivery systems • Experience collaborating with distributed or global teams • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with product and solution teams • A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
