Who we're looking for
We’re looking for a senior data/ML engineer to join our new Discovery team, with the aim to surface high-quality recommendations for creators and content across the platform. Your work will directly impact the end user experience of our product, building feedback loops to make Zora a better, more engaging place for creators and traders.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and iterate on retrieval and ranking pipelines that power discovery surfaces across the product, like feed, explore, search, and future ML-driven features
Shape evaluation loops by defining high-signal metrics, designing A/B tests, and adjusting weights based on outcomes
Build and maintain discovery surfaces for the API, used by the product as well as external partners
Communicate status, updates, blockers, etc., to cross-functional stakeholders
Respond to incidents as part of an on-call rotation
Participate in RFC and code review
What Makes You a Fit
5+ years of experience as an engineer building production data pipelines with ML
Proven track record of running experiments effectively
Good communication and prioritization skills
Ability to ship performant, maintainable code that make reasonable tradeoffs between product needs and technical constraints
EU or U.S. (ET) time zone
Strong Candidates May Have…
Prior experience with ingestion for blockchain data
Strong knowledge of Python and MongoDB
Familiarity with modern ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
Experience operating within high-ambiguity startup environments
Good product intuition and understanding of user needs
