Senior Databricks Engineer - Remote - W2 only (Chicago, IL or NYC or Richmond, VA or Cleveland, OH, or Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX only)
Position: Senior Databricks Engineer Location: either Chicago, IL or NYC or Richmond, VA or Cleveland, OH, or Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX( remote, but go in once in a while) Contract: 6 months to perm Interview process: 2 video interviews to hire Must have: o Databricks AND (R or sparklyr) OR (Pyspark or Python) o Databricks AND (Starburst OR Tableau) o Databricks AND (Collibra OR Altreyx) Top skills (holistically): Databricks + Starburst, Python, PySpark, R, SparklyR, AWS • Databricks is going to be required for all roles; Python is typically inherent within the Databricks environment. • Databricks + Python/PySpark + R/SparklyR (Databricks relies heavily on Python; need R to convert code from R to Python native code or SparklyR to connect R to Spark clusters) • Databricks + Starburst + SQL (SQL querying is the crux of Starburst's federated querying capabilities) • Immuta isn't going to be a core technology needed here, as they don't provide direct support on it; Alteryx is a lesser part of their environment, and Collibra is owned by another team.
