Job Summary We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team, leveraging advanced data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning techniques to deliver actionable insights and consulting support for program development and cross-functional initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and deploy complex data science models and tools using technical expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, probability, and decision theory, as well as other quantitative methods. Understand the business context behind large datasets and develop meaningful analytic solutions to drive business outcomes. Apply analytical rigor and statistical techniques to analyze large datasets, using advanced statistical methods such as predictive modeling, customer profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design, and data mining. Design and implement algorithms, including decision trees, regression, XGBoost, K-means, and anomaly detection, as well as interpretable ML and Bayesian theory. Utilize cloud computing on Azure/Databricks, querying in Snowflake, and leveraging software tools and methodologies like GitHub, continuous integration and delivery, and agile methodologies. Collaborate with finance, researchers, software developers, and business leaders to define product requirements and provide analytical support. Communicate complex technical concepts and insights to business stakeholders and management teams, both verbally and in writing. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, quantitative or computational capabilities, or a related field. Advanced experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, or other programming languages. Strong expertise in exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, pattern detection, distribution analysis, visualization, and insight extraction to inform business decisions. Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, including linear and logistic regression, time series modeling, generalized linear models, decision trees, and clustering algorithms. Experience with cloud ML systems, distributed computing, data pipelines, cloud data stores, and serving engines. Ability to communicate technical concepts and results to non-experts and advocate for data-driven solutions. Experience working in dynamic environments, prioritizing needs, and delivering results. At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions and 2 years of direct or indirect leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in STEM, computer science, information systems, physics, mathematics, statistics, data science, machine learning, or a related field. Experience working with IoT, Edge AI, or reinforcement learning is a plus. Experience in the healthcare industry is desirable.
