As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's Client Experience association forward by designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data systems that inform business decisions.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the methodology and execution of incorporating new datasets that fuel investigation and information science drives. This involves consolidating, organizing, and automating data collections from multiple sources, including contact centers, e-commerce platforms, and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities


Design and Development: Plan and develop effective, user-friendly applications, reports, and dashboards using Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Microstrategy and SAS (50% of the time).
Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Collaborate with leaders to identify needs and gather requirements. Provide solutions by building tools, reports, and predictive models. Automate reporting on an ad-hoc basis (25% of the time).
Research and Best Practices: Research and report best practices and standards for utilizing BI tools. Provide insights on industry trends (25% of the time).


Reporting Structure and Travel Requirements

This role reports to the Senior Manager or Supervisor, Online Business Knowledge, and does not have direct reports. While the position is remote, occasional short-term travel (less than 10% of the time) may be required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:


A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
Expertise in SQL, preferably with experience working with BigQuery.
Strong knowledge of Python and data processing frameworks like Windstream.
Experience with data stitching processes, combining datasets from various sources to gain insights into customer behavior.
The ability to translate business needs into technical specifications for building BI solutions.
Experience with data migration and analysis to support statistical examination by the business.


Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following skills and experiences are highly valued:


Previous experience in the retail industry, particularly in e-commerce or supply chain management.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience working with large datasets.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
