Senior Data Engineer (LATAM Remote)

Technical Challenge
You will design and build scalable data infrastructure and pipelines to support our portfolio of mobility-focused ventures, leveraging modern cloud platforms and cutting-edge data engineering tools. Your work will enable data-driven decision-making across multiple startups, from initial product development through scale.
Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain robust data engineering solutions, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and real-time data processing systems
• Build and optimize data infrastructure on Azure, implementing best practices for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Develop data transformation workflows using dbt and orchestrate complex data pipelines with Apache Spark and Databricks
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, DABs, and GitHub Actions to ensure reproducible and maintainable data environments
• Integrate GenAI capabilities into data workflows to enhance analytics and automation across ventures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Required Skills
• Strong proficiency in Data Engineering, with demonstrated ability to design and implement end-to-end data solutions at scale
• Expert-level SQL skills for complex querying, optimization, and database design
• Strong Python programming skills for data processing, automation, and building data applications
• Advanced experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling, following analytics engineering best practices
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including data storage, compute, and analytics tools
• Advanced proficiency with Databricks for building and managing data lakehouse architectures
• Solid experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing and large-scale analytics
• Strong understanding of GenAI technologies and their application in data engineering workflows
Preferred Skills
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL for relational database management and optimization
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs), and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with Kafka for building real-time streaming data pipelines
• Experience with AWS cloud services and multi-cloud architectures
