What You'll Do

As a Senior Data Engineer within our Information Design group, you will be responsible for planning and executing complex ETL/ELT data pipelines that form the foundation of our data ecosystem. Your technical expertise will be crucial in designing and implementing database mappings, tables, and views that support our various business units and creative teams.

Key Responsibilities


Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern data engineering tools and frameworks
Create and implement database schemas, tables, views, and relationships that support efficient data storage and retrieval
Build batch processing workflows using Apache Airflow to automate data movement and transformation processes
Collaborate with Studios and Project Technology teams to gather data requirements and ensure data quality standards are met
Develop data validation scripts and perform thorough reviews to ensure data integrity across all pipelines
Deploy and manage solutions across multiple environments including Development, QA/UAT, and Production
Work with cloud-based technologies including AWS S3, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL to build scalable data solutions
Utilize Python and SQL for data transformation, analysis, and pipeline development
Implement containerization using Docker for consistent deployment across environments
Version control code and configurations using Gitlab to maintain code quality and collaboration
Create and maintain data visualizations using Looker to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in data engineering methodologies
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our data engineering development processes


What We're Looking For

We're seeking a professional with a strong foundation in data engineering principles and hands-on experience with modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex data challenges and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role
2+ years of experience with SQL for data manipulation and database design
2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines
2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably AWS and S3
2+ years of experience managing cloud platforms
2+ years of experience working with data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases
2+ years of experience designing and building relational databases
Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
Experience with Gitlab/Github for version control
Experience with Docker for containerization
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices


Preferred Qualifications


Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
Experience with Snowflake for cloud data warehousing
Experience with Databricks for big data processing
Experience with Looker for business intelligence and visualization
Experience working in streaming, media, or digital advertising domains
Knowledge of real-time data processing frameworks
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
