Key Responsibilities


Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines to support business-critical applications and analytics
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable code, and implement automated testing and deployment processes
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across the organization, adhering to industry best practices and compliance standards
Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to enable data-driven insights and decision-making
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
Define and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for data products and processes, ensuring high availability and performance
Support large-scale experimentation and proof-of-concepts, driving business value through data-driven innovation


Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data lake frameworks, data warehousing, and data analytics tools
2+ years of experience with SQL development, performance tuning, and programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or Scala
2+ years of experience with cloud data engineering, preferably with Azure
Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines
Experience with data profiling and data quality tools, such as Apache Griffin or Deequ
Proficient in version control systems, such as GitHub, and CI/CD tools


Preferred Qualifications


Azure certification or equivalent experience with cloud services
Experience with multi-cloud integration, on-premises technologies, and hybrid environments
Familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques, as well as business intelligence tools like PowerBI
Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and data glossaries
Experience with agile development methodologies, DevOps, and DataOps practices
