Join us on our mission to reverse diabetes and obesity in one billion people.We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in building and scaling the data foundation for our high-growth company. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver scalable solutions that optimize operations and data quality, support complex client needs, and expand data access to drive growth. Your work will directly enhance our data accuracy, auditability, and operational efficiency by transforming fragmented, manual processes into robust, automated data products. This role requires a hands-on approach to solving complex data challenges that have a direct impact on the company's data reporting and scalability.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain ELT data pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient data processing. Our tools include dbt, Dagster, and GCP.Build and optimize data models to support analytics and reporting needs.Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to create and maintain self-service tools that provide operational and analytical services.Ensure data quality and integrity through testing, validation, and documentation.Monitor and improve database performance, optimizing queries and warehouse costs. Security and privacy training will be provided.Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $167,249 - $216,000.
