As a Senior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making, analyzing complex data sets, and developing actionable insights to optimize marketing strategies.

About Wayfair and the Client Interchanges Team

Wayfair is a renowned online retailer that has revolutionized the way people shop for home goods and furniture. The Client Interchanges team is responsible for managing all email, application push, and SMS communications between Wayfair and its customers. Within this team, the Advanced Analytics and Insights (AAI) role will be a key player in shaping the future of data-driven marketing.

Key Responsibilities


Advanced Analysis and Insights:

Perform ad-hoc deep-dive analyses using advanced SQL and data table knowledge to uncover hidden trends and patterns.
Lead data-driven roadmapping, identifying potential opportunities for channel improvement based on analysis performed.


A/B Testing Enhancement:

Champion the application of statistical best practices and cement a testable decision-making framework.
Identify opportunities for and implement process improvements, such as automated Python results pulling and flexible dashboards.


Data Steward:

Serve as the primary resource for Marketing Data Engineering, prioritizing medium-term asks, and shaping long-term guidance.
Become the subject matter expert on data tables, extensively communicating these across the broader team.


Performance Reporting:

Standardize channel metrics and create flexible dashboards across stores/geos.
Prepare weekly and monthly performance analyses and draft stories, fielding performance-related inquiries from MSO and Trends.




Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Technical disciplines, Economics, Business, or related fields with a quantitative focus.
3+ years of experience in a data-heavy role, preferably in marketing, management consulting, startup/tech, finance, or strategy fields.
Proficiency in data analysis, advanced SQL, and Google Sheets/Excel usage, with a passion for finding patterns in data.
Strong critical thinking and verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill and convey complex ideas to senior-level and cross-functional stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications


Knowledge of Python programming language.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
