As a Senior Data Analyst in our Immediate to Shopper group, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Subscriber Operations function within our Data Analysis team. Your expertise will help drive business growth, ensure data integrity, and enhance the overall subscriber experience. About the Role This is a remote opportunity to work with a dynamic team that oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming organizations within Disney Diversification. As a Senior Data Analyst, you'll be responsible for analyzing subscriber adjustments across our Disney Streaming portfolio. Your primary focus will be on supporting real-time subscriber metering for various business-critical initiatives, working closely with upstream messaging partners to ensure accurate delivery of subscription change messaging. Key Responsibilities Data Management: Oversee data intake and documentation requirements related to subscriber messaging initiatives, including cost increments, subscriber arrangements, and new data being gathered, as well as episode remediation. Query Development: Develop queries based on required business logic, sometimes legally committing, to determine precise cohorts of subscribers for messaging and/or remediation. Stakeholder Communication: Convey business requirements to technical teams and provide concise summaries of technical progress or potential detours to business partners. Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of subscriber adjustments and the technical infrastructure that underlies subscriber data. Project Management: Oversee project planning and timetables, managing cross-functional delivery to ensure readiness for significant business events. Collaboration: Drive alignment across Data, Business Operations, and Finance through the development of robust communication processes and operational playbooks. Innovation: Collaborate with Data Product and Data Quality Engineering to contribute to the design of robust reporting solutions that minimize data incidents. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: SQL Expertise: 2+ years of work experience writing in SQL, particularly in an ETL processing pipeline. Analytical Experience: 2+ years of analytical experience, with a proven track record of delivering insights that drive business decisions. Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to convey technical and/or analytical concepts to a wide range of audiences. Programming Skills: Knowledge of Python/R or other statistical programming languages. Data Analysis Tools: Familiarity with data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc. Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience can enhance your application: Streaming Industry Experience: Previous experience working in the streaming industry or with a similar subscription-based business model. Advanced SQL: Advanced SQL skills, including knowledge of query optimization and data modeling. Data Visualization: Experience with data visualization tools and techniques, with the ability to create compelling and informative visualizations. Project Management: Proven project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering projects on time.
