About Credit & Fraud Risk Finance
The Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) Finance team is at the forefront of providing fact-based, decision-driven insights that inform our financial decisions and credit risk strategies. As a Senior Data Analyst in this team, you'll play a critical role in developing and delivering high-impact analyses that drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Support Provision recoveries Forecasting & Results Analysis for our International Card portfolios, collaborating closely with Chief Credit Officers across regions
Develop and present key analyses and monthly recoveries outcomes to senior management, providing actionable insights that inform business decisions
Drive thought leadership in the development and enhancement of Recoveries Forecasting models, as well as strategic business analytics
Work cross-functionally on projects across the Risk Finance organization to support American Express's long-term growth targets
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Hands-on experience working on financial analytics using large datasets
Advanced Excel modeling skills and a high degree of scalability in PowerPoint
Proficiency in SQL, Hive/Yellow Brick; Python is a plus
A BS/MS degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
Previous experience in card risk management and/or 1+ year of work experience
Experience with visualization tools such as TM1, Tableau, or Power BI
