The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically gifted Senior Analyst to join our Client Interchanges group. This newly created role offers a unique opportunity to shape the analytical direction of our email and customer communications strategy. You'll serve as the primary data authority for the team, translating complex datasets into actionable insights that improve customer engagement, drive conversion, and inform marketing strategy.

What You'll Do
Advanced Analysis & Insights
Conduct ad-hoc deep-dive analyses requiring advanced SQL proficiency and comprehensive data table expertise to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities
Lead insight-driven roadmapping by identifying potential areas for channel improvement based on your analytical findings
Develop predictive models and segmentation strategies to enhance targeting and personalization efforts
Present complex findings in clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
A/B Testing & Experimentation
Champion the application of statistical best practices across all testing initiatives, establishing a robust decision-making framework
Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests to optimize email performance, subject lines, content placement, and send times
Identify opportunities for and implement process improvements such as automated Python-based result pulling and flexible, real-time dashboards
Build a testing roadmap that prioritizes high-impact experiments aligned with business objectives
Establish testing governance and documentation standards to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing
Data Expertise & Partnership
Serve as the primary business partner for Marketing Data Engineering, acting as the go-to resource for ongoing operational needs including run planning and medium-term requests
Shape the long-term data strategy and roadmap in collaboration with engineering teams
Become the subject matter expert on available data tables—what data exists, where it lives, how it should be used—and effectively communicate this across the broader team
Lead data quality initiatives and advocate for improvements in data infrastructure
Develop and maintain comprehensive data documentation and lineage tracking
Performance Reporting & Analytics
Standardize channel metrics and create flexible, scalable dashboards that work across multiple stores and geographies
Prepare weekly and monthly performance analyses, translating data into compelling narratives that drive action
Field performance-related inquiries from Merchandising, Site Operations (MSO), and Trends teams
Develop KPI frameworks and automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort and improve timeliness
Provide strategic recommendations based on performance trends and competitive analysis
What You'll Need
Education
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Technical disciplines, Economics, Business, or other concentrations with a quantitative focus
Preferred: Advanced degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or related field
Experience
3+ years of experience in a data-intensive role within marketing, management consulting, startup/tech, finance, and/or strategy fields
Demonstrated experience with email marketing analytics, customer engagement metrics, or digital channel optimization
Proven track record of translating analysis into business impact
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data extraction and manipulation
Expert-level Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and VBA macros
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation (strong plus)
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Braze) and their associated analytics
Understanding of statistical concepts including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and statistical significance
Professional Competencies
Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to approach ambiguous problems methodically
Strong verbal and written communication skills—ability to distill and convey complex ideas to diverse audiences
