Senior Cybersecurity Architect

Role Overview We’re seeking a highly experiencedSenior Cybersecurity Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-grade security architecture across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, identity management, threat modeling, and cloud security—paired with strong strategic leadership to align security initiatives with organizational goals and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities • Architect and oversee end-to-end cybersecurity solutions across infrastructure, cloud, applications, and data environments • Develop and implement enterprise security architecture frameworks, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business objectives • Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and architecture reviews for new systems and integrations • Design and enforce identity and access management (IAM), Zero Trust, and encryption strategies • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SOC, DevOps, Cloud, and Compliance) to embed security throughout the technology stack • Evaluate and integrate advanced security technologies, including EDR, SIEM, SOAR, and CASB • Provide technical guidance during incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation efforts • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR) • Produce detailed architecture documentation, security diagrams, and risk mitigation plans • Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of security maturity across the organizationRequired Skills & Experience • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 5+ years in architecture or senior engineering roles • Deep knowledge of enterprise security architecture, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and network defense principles • Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, DLP, PAM, IAM, CSPM) • Strong background in threat modeling, risk management, and secure design principles • Solid understanding of encryption, PKI, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention strategies • Proven experience leading complex security projects and cross-functional security initiatives • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills Certifications Preferred • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) • CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) • Azure Security Engineer / AWS Security Specialty • SABSA or TOGAF (for architecture frameworks) Bonus Experience • Experience implementing Zero Trust and SASE architectures • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Python) • Knowledge of container and Kubernetes security best practices • Exposure to AI-driven threat detection and response technologies • Background in incident response, red teaming, or digital forensics Location: Candidate should be US based (Preferred but not required -- NY, NJ, CT, or PA) Job Type: Contract Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour Application Question(s): • Do you have at least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, including 5 or more years in a security architecture or senior engineering role?• Have you designed or implemented enterprise-level security architectures in cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)? • Are you experienced with security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS? • Have you led threat modeling, risk assessments, or security design reviews for large-scale systems or integrations? • Do you have hands-on experience with security tools and platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, or IAM solutions?
