About the position In FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, we focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders. We operate in small engagement teams to provide direct hands-on experience to our clients. The Senior Consultant will work with clients in domestic and multinational companies across various and diverse industries. Responsibilities • Oversee the day-to-day financial activities of restructuring and/or transactions advisory engagements • Apply business, accounting, finance and analysis skills to various client situations and practice disciplines • Review financial statements and perform quality of earnings/cash flow analysis • Prepare and/or review complex financial projections to model business plans, processes and/or transactions • Assess business plans, cash flows, financial models, and analyze large amounts of data associated with restructuring plans • Conduct financial due diligence and financial analysis of clients and potential target companies • Understand all aspects of the client’s business including review of operational and financial performance • Draft written reports and/or presentations on the project scope, findings and/or results of activities • Work with the client’s senior management, restructuring / legal / finance experts on work engagements • Manage the engagement team and provide coaching to junior team members Requirements • Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance • 3+ years of relevant post-graduate experience • Understanding of financial statements and corporate functions • Advanced Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed up to 60% • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship Nice-to-haves • CPA preferred • Relevant experience in a professional services firm (public accounting, consulting, etc.) • Advanced problem-solving and issue resolution skills • Professional verbal and written communications, including report writing • Strong interest in finance and working in a professional services environment • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment to meet client needs Benefits • Competitive total compensation, including bonus earning potential • Full package of benefits plans, including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with life and disability insurance • Generous paid time off and holidays • Company matched 401(k) retirement savings plan • Potential for flexible work arrangements • Generous paid parental leave with available planning tools, virtual expert coaching services and flex return support. • Family care benefits, including back-up child/elder care • Employee wellness platform • Employee recognition programs • Paid time off for volunteering in your community • Corporate matching for charitable donations most important to you • Make an impact in our communities through company sponsored pro bono work • Professional development and certification programs • Free in-office snacks and drinks • Free smartphone and cellular plan (if applicable) • FTI Perks & Discounts at retailers and businesses • Upscale offices close to public transportation Apply tot his job
