About the Role & Team We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Concept Artist to join our team in Glendale, CA, USA. This is a full-time, hybrid role that allows for a balance between remote work and time at our office. As a Senior Concept Artist, you will report to the Director, Art, and collaborate with artists, designers, and other teams to create captivating environment, gameplay, and character concepts. Your portfolio should showcase your exceptional concept work, and you should have a deep passion for Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel properties. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with artists, designers, and other teams to develop engaging, inspiring, and appealing environment, gameplay, and character concepts based on Disney's robust portfolio of characters and worlds. Work with art directors and internal and external partners to ensure visual consistency and quality across the entire experience. Balance time, iteration, and detail, working from thumbnails and sketches to finished illustrations and images. Help build visual guides, storyboards, production callouts, color scripts, and other reference materials. Serve as a key member of the growing game development team at Disney, providing visual inspiration to internal and external stakeholders. Essential Qualifications & Skills Possess a strong creative vision, an excellent eye for artistic quality, and solid knowledge of current game development techniques used to achieve specific visual targets. Excel at environmental design, including lighting, composition, staging, and architecture. Demonstrate a deep understanding of human and creature anatomy, as well as character and costume design. Enjoy working in a diverse range of styles, from photo-realistic to highly stylized. Enjoy creative problem-solving and building something new and innovative. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Art and/or Design or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years of game development experience, including holding a position of Concept Artist for at least 3 years. Experience working on AAA game titles or high-profile projects. Strong understanding of current industry trends and technologies.
