Senior Compliance Analyst – External Audit
Job Description:
• Assist in maintaining Centene Corporation’s Compliance Program
• Serve as a lead coordinator and primary point of contact for external auditors and regulators for assigned audits
• Manage end‑to‑end external audit coordination
• Respond to and manage external requests for information related to regulatory audits
• Coordinate and support auditor and regulator interactions
• Review draft audit reports, support rebuttal development, and coordinate responses
• Communicate state and federal regulatory requirements related to external audits
• Maintain and manage audit and regulatory documentation
• Assist health plans in managing relationships with regulatory agencies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in related legal field or equivalent experience
• Master’s or Juris Doctorate degree preferred
• 3+ years of related experience in compliance privacy and/or regulatory affairs
• Experience in project management with working knowledge of laws and/or regulations in area of compliance, in particular HIPAA, and state regulations
• Hands on experience supporting external audits
• Background in healthcare
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Comfortable presenting to large group of stakeholders in addition to executive level leadership
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders
