Salary: $300,000 - $450,000 per year A bit about us: Our client, a highly-sophisticated, mid-sized firm located on Long Island is seeking a senior level Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team. As a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney, you will represent the firm in complex commercial litigation matters, demonstrating exceptional legal acumen, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to client service. Competitive compensation package Hybrid Work Schedule Complete benefits package (medical, dental, vision) PTO + Company paid holidays Accelerated Career Growth Job Details Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of commercial litigation including research, drafting pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlement, and trial preparation. • Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial legal issues. • Develop and implement litigation strategies that align with business objectives. • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company, advising on potential impacts and compliance strategies. • Collaborate with internal teams to manage risks and mitigate potential legal liabilities. • Provide training and guidance to junior attorneys and legal staff. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a proven track record of success. • Active membership in good standing with NY State Bar. • Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills. • Proficient in legal research and litigation strategy. • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities, working effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines. • High level of professional ethics and integrity. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Proficiency in using legal software and technology tools.
