One Data Streaming Platform.About the Role:We are looking for a Senior Commercial Contracts Negotiator to join the Confluent Legal Team! In this role you will be supporting the Americas Sales Team. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with SaaS contracts and supporting a sales organization.What You Will Do:Primary support of Confluent’s Sales organizationStructure, draft, and negotiate commercial agreementsNegotiate various privacy addendum agreements and security termsReview and manage NDAsProvide general support to your legal colleagues negotiating contracts, including assisting with the gathering of internal approvals and helping to obtain signaturesWork on a variety of cutting-edge projects to help our department scale, grow and be more efficientTrain and interact with Sales, third party partners and customersPartner with cross-functional teamsKeep Legal repositories/systems accurate and up-to-dateBe an independent worker and thought leaderWhat You Will Bring:7+ years of experience in technology transactions with an in-house legal teamSpecific experience negotiating SaaS subscription agreements, license and support agreements, and professional services agreements with customersExperience working cross-functionally with internal organizations to resolve questions and concernsExcellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skillsAbility to use sound judgment to address complex issues while maintaining an appropriate balance between legal and business requirementsAbility to maintain strong working relationships with demanding requests, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup environmentTrue team playerFamiliarity with technical concepts in Web applications and a willingness to learn newUndergraduate degreeWhat Gives You an Edge:DPA and BAA negotiation experienceNegotiating with regulated industries, including healthcare, financial services and telecommunicationsExperience with open source licensing and business modelsHighly responsive and service-oriented attitudeGrowth MindsetReady to build what's next?
