Your Quest:
As our Senior Combat Designer (f/m/x), you’ll play a key role in shaping enemy design and AI behavior, collaborating with a diverse and talented team to craft gameplay moments that are both challenging and unforgettable.
Design Engaging Combat Challenges: Create and develop enemy archetypes that complement the player’s moveset while offering exciting and fair challenges.
Build & Polish: Implement and refine enemy behaviors and movesets in Unreal Engine 5, ensuring a smooth and immersive combat experience.
Inspire & Mentor: Share your expertise by guiding and supporting junior team members alongside the Lead Combat Designer.
Shape Combat Vision: Craft and refine the combat experience, focusing on enemy creation and AI behavior. Contribute to driving innovation and ensuring high-quality design while fostering a shared vision across the team.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with game designers, animators, artists, programmers, audio specialists, and producers to bring your ideas to life within deadlines.
Communicate & Document: Clearly document and share combat features to ensure alignment across the team.
Your Toolkit:

Experience: 5+ years in game design with a focus on combat systems and at least one shipped title.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 and expertise in designing combat AI behaviors.
Collaborative Spirit: A team player with strong communication skills and a passion for working in a creative, interdisciplinary environment.
Mindset: A positive, solution-oriented attitude, with a willingness to embrace challenges and learn from diverse perspectives.
You Get Extra XP for:
Familiarity with complex scripting.
User experience design is a plus.
Prior experience & responsibility in project or team management roles.
